Get ready, Rotorua, it’s time to turn the volume all the way up for Slam Rock 2026! This year’s event is more electrifying than ever, as the Sulphur City Steam Rollers celebrate an incredible 15 years of derby action.

Mark your calendar for July 4th, 6pm at the Southern Trust Sportsdrome because this isn’t just a sporting event, it’s a full blown entertainment experience.

Expect hard hits and edge-of-your-seat action as skaters battle it out on the track as Rotorua's Motley Crew take on the mighty Volcanic City Rollers from Auckland, with both teams featuring players from Team New Zealand Roller Derby!

Come dressed to impress (think glam rock, hair metal, and outrageous outfits) for your chance to win prizes, and shred your way through the crowd-favourite air guitar competition at half-time.

Bringing the whānau? You’re sorted. There’s free face painting for the kids, a classic lolly scramble, plus food and drink options to keep everyone fueled for the night. Don’t forget to swing by the merch stand to grab some roller derby/roller skating gear and rep your team loud and proud.
