The DeSotos

Jazz Rotorua presents Auckland Americana country blues act The DeSotos, a tight and dynamic live act with strong vocals and melodic songwriting. Musicians: Paul Gurney – lead vocals, guitars & blues harp; Stuart McIntyre – bass & vocals; Ron Stevens – Hammond, keyboards & vocals; Greg Tell – drums & percussion

Their influences range from Neil Young and Tom Petty through to the Allman Brothers Band and New Orleans jazz and funk. Their music has featured in various New Zealand productions, most recently in Brokenwood mysteries. They have a new album in production.
