Top Art is an annual touring exhibition featuring some of New Zealand's top secondary school Visual Art portfolios, toured by New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).
Brought to you by Rotorua Museum, this great showcase of New Zealand’s talented rangatahi will be open to the public at Rotorua Library, Te Aka Mauri, from Wednesday 25 March until Thursday 2 April 2026.
Top Art provides an opportunity for students and teachers to see the high standard of art produced in schools and gain an understanding of what is required to achieve Excellence or Scholarship in Visual Art at NCEA Level 3.
The showcase exhibits portfolios of following art mediums: photography, painting, design, printmaking and sculpture. Each year there are also some portfolios displayed digitally.
It is a great opportunity for members of the public to see the high quality of art being created in schools.
