Under The Stars 2026 / a Matariki exhibition

Celebrate Matariki through art! Under the Stars 2026 is an annual exhibition honoring Aotearoa’s national holiday, Matariki.

Rotorua-based artists, both amateur and professional, welcomes artworks inspired by or reflecting on Matariki.

The exhibition will run throughout July and August across all galleries at The Arts Village, with a special celebration of the season on Thursday, 9 July at 4pm.

The exhibition in The Wallis will be joined by Toni-Marie Jennings – with her first solo exhibition “Ngā Rama o Matariki” and including Mokoia Intermediate ākonga in the Cottage Gallery.
