I Am Rotorua

“I am a three-time Olympian in a sport called skeleton, and still really involved in the sport. I’m really passionate about making sure that there is good access to sport and that it’s fair.

“Sports have played a huge part in my life and I want to ensure that other people, especially in Rotorua, have the opportunity to participate in sport and get all of the benefits from sport.

“I work here as a lawyer and do some sports law work as well but am really passionate in the legal space, being involved in the community and helping things happen. It’s good to get out there and get stuff done!

“I was born and raised here in Rotorua, and all of my family is here, but the things that I really love about Rotorua are the people, I think the people here are incredible! I love the culture here, I love the Māori culture and also living in a multicultural community the size of Rotorua. The scenery here is spectacular as well, the lakes and the forest. You just can’t beat getting outdoors, especially in the summer. Getting out on the lakes is absolutely amazing.”
