I Am Rotorua – Isabel Talabis-Ronquillo

“My husband and I migrated from the Philippines 15 years ago, and have been here for eight of those years. We love Rotorua. Just the fact that you can do all the things like biking, and we are into disc golfing at the moment. We have been doing that every morning for the past three months. The lakes are just there and I love how you can just feel the culture more here than anywhere else.
“When opening our business here, we wanted to make it feel organic and we wanted to be part of the community and I think that’s why we love it here, we have created such a community around us, like becoming a part of the Rotorua Sustainable Charter. We measured our carbon footprint and all of those things that set us apart and help us, which has been awesome.”
