St Chads Charitable Trust is a vocational service guided by the Enabling Good Lives vision, providing resources, experiences, and opportunities that support positive communication, relationship-building, and meaningful community participation. Through its programmes, St Chads connects tāngata whaikaha—“people who are determined to do well”—with the wider Rotorua community.
Each year, St Chads presents an art exhibition at The Arts Village, celebrating the creativity, resilience, and unique perspectives of its artists, many of whom navigate a range of life challenges.
This year’s exhibition, Being Inspired When Imagining Colours, invites artists to explore new ways of creating and expressing themselves through colour, form, and imagination. The concept encourages participants to reimagine their usual creative practices while developing skills in painting, canvas work, cutting, and design.
By learning and sharing these skills, the artists strengthen their creative voices, build confidence, and foster deeper connections with the community. The exhibition is a vibrant celebration of imagination, self-expression, and the power of creativity to bring people together.
