Boogaloo Kererū
Channelling this unique 1960s musical flavour, perhaps for the first time in Rotorua this century is a Kāpiti-Horowhenua-Manawatū supergroup Boogaloo Kererū.
Boogaloo is a genre of Latin music and dance which was popular in the 1960s. Originating in New York, the style was a fusion of American Rhythm & Blues and Soul, and Caribbean Mambo and Son Montuno with Songs like Bang Bang, El Watusi, I Like It Like That and Watermelon Man.
